Chasing Shadows

I still recall
I saw you in the park
Chasing shadows until dark
That moment left on me a mark

The mark as my haunting
I wither away
As winds make me sway
I can only pray

The games that you played
Now merged with the sands
With no second chances to make amends
I lie here with my empty hands

Because now that we are apart
Shadows chase me in my heart

As darkness fills the dark

Shattered heart with scattered memories
A life passes by me with broken melodies
As yet further away become our destinies
Walking against me are this world's cavalries
